During the Age of Empires update today, Microsoft and Relic announced new content for Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition and Age of Empires 3: Definitive Edition.

According to Relic, a second expansion called Dawn of the Dukes is coming to Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition.  Later this year the game will also get co-op with hand-picked and specific missions to play with friends.

Age of Empires 3: Definitive Edition will receive a free update on April 13.  It will feature the US civilization with a new explorer and nine new units alongside an age-up mechanic.

It will be a free update for a limited time by completing a 50 state challenge or it can be purchased. African civs are also coming with another expansion.

During the reveal, a look at Age of Empires 4 gameplay was also shown. The presentation is still live and if more information comes out of it, we’ll be sure to update this post.
